ClinicScout publishes independent comparisons of UK online clinic services. Our job is to make checkable facts easier to compare, not to decide which prescription treatment is suitable for an individual.
Who is responsible
ClinicScout is operated by G.Fitzsimons. The site does not employ a doctor, pharmacist or prescriber and does not claim medical review. Commercial and editorial decisions remain with ClinicScout, including which clinics appear and how they are described.
What we check
- Regulation: pharmacy premises, superintendent pharmacist and clinic registrations where a reliable public or first-party record is available.
- Ownership: the operating company and any connected prescribing or dispensing company that materially affects how the service works.
- Billing: consultation fees, one-off or subscription status, renewal terms and published cancellation routes.
- Delivery: published carriers, charges, collection options and dispatch conditions.
- Clinical claims: UK regulatory sources, product information, recognised clinical references and peer-reviewed research.
Source order
We prefer official public registers and the clinic’s current legal or service pages. Clinical claims use sources such as the MHRA, BNF, electronic Medicines Compendium, NICE and peer-reviewed research. Third-party articles and review platforms are not used as substitutes for regulation or ownership evidence.
Review schedule
Clinic profiles are scheduled for a source review every 31 days while the site is in active launch preparation. Regulation or ownership information is checked sooner if a public change is reported. Price tables carry their own checked dates and are not presented as live unless an automated source check has actually run.
A review that passes its due date is marked as due for checking. We do not silently replace the date with the current day or use an updated timestamp without rechecking the underlying sources.
Affiliate separation
Affiliate commission does not control inclusion, placement or wording. Clinic tables are alphabetical, and non-affiliate providers can appear where they provide a useful comparison. An inactive commercial relationship remains inactive until the relevant programme and permitted promotional scope are confirmed in writing.
Prescription-only medicines are discussed editorially. Commercial links lead to a regulated clinic service, not directly to a prescription medicine promotion.
Reviews and first-person experience
Our current clinic profiles are desk-based evidence reviews. We check published facts and state that we have not mystery-shopped the service. We do not invent customer experience, treatment outcomes, delivery tests or cancellation results. If ClinicScout later carries out a mystery shop, the page will explain the date, method, cost and limits of that test.
Corrections
Send factual errors through the form on our About page. Please include the page URL and a source that supports the correction. We check material corrections against a primary source before updating the page.
Public correction log
No material corrections to published ClinicScout pages have been logged yet. When a correction changes a price comparison, registration statement, ownership description or material conclusion, we will record the date and a short explanation here.
