About this policy
This policy explains what data ClinicScout collects when you visit this site, why, and what choices you have. It does not cover the privacy practices of the clinics we link to; each has its own policy, which you should read before using their service.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, only after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
- Outbound click tracking. When you click through to a clinic or retailer, we record an anonymous click ID, the ClinicScout page and link used, the destination, the time, and whether the link was an affiliate link. We do not store your IP address in this click record and we do not track what happens on the destination site afterwards.
- Affiliate tracking. Some outbound links carry an affiliate reference so a clinic can pay us a commission if you become a customer, at no extra cost to you. This is handled by the clinic’s own affiliate network once you leave our site.
- Contact messages. If you use our contact form, we store the name, email address and message you provide in a private site inbox so we can read and reply to your enquiry. Messages are deleted automatically after 90 days and are not added to a marketing or customer database.
- Server logs. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) are kept briefly for security and performance troubleshooting.
We do not require an account to use ClinicScout, we do not ask for health information, and we never sell personal data. Please do not include medical details in a contact message.

We use essential cookies required for the site to function and, only with your consent, analytics cookies. You can reopen the cookie controls from the footer.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Because we collect very little personal data (no accounts, no health data), most requests can be resolved quickly. Contact us using the details on our About page.

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and note the date below.
