How ClinicScout Compares Clinics: Our Checks and Independence

ClinicScout exists on one promise: we check, so you can choose. Every clinic on this site has been visited directly by us, not summarised from a press release or a submitted listing. Every price carries a date. Every registration claim links to the register we checked it against.

What we verify

  • Registrations, checked periodically. For pharmacies, we look up the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) register directly and record the registration number and what it shows. For clinics, we check the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating where one exists. We link to the register entry itself so you can check it yourself.
  • Prices and fees, checked regularly. Consultation fees and treatment cost bands shown in our comparison tables are dated with the day we last confirmed them on the clinic’s own site. If a price looks stale, the date will tell you.
  • Ownership. Several UK online clinics have been bought and merged in the last two years. Where a clinic is owned by, or trades as part of, a larger group, we say so plainly, because who is actually behind a service is something people are rarely told upfront.
  • Terms that affect you. Subscription models, cancellation terms and delivery promises are read from the clinic’s own published terms, not inferred from marketing copy.

How money works here

ClinicScout is free for you to use. Some of the clinics we list pay us a commission if you visit them through a link on this site and become a paying customer. This is standard for independent comparison sites and it is how we can offer a free, ad-light service.

What it does not do is affect placement. A clinic that pays us nothing can appear next to one that pays a commission. Comparison tables are listed alphabetically, and the filters only narrow the list by factual service features such as one-off or subscription billing. They do not rank, recommend, or highlight a provider.

Published “from” figures are shown with their unit or pack wording because a per-tablet price, a pack price and a first-order promotion are not directly comparable. We do not combine those figures into a false monthly-cost ranking.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment for a higher ranking, a highlighted row, or inclusion in a “best of” list.
  • We do not claim to have tested treatments ourselves or mystery-shopped a clinic’s consultation unless a page explicitly says we have and describes what that involved.
  • We do not give medical advice. Our comparisons cover services, cost and verification, not clinical recommendations. Speak to a registered prescriber, GP or pharmacist about what is right for you.
  • We do not advertise or promote prescription-only medicines directly. Where we discuss prescription treatments, we describe the service and the evidence, not a product to buy, in line with UK medicines advertising rules.

Corrections

If something on this site is out of date or wrong, we want to know. Prices change, clinics update their terms, and we do not always catch it the same day. Contact us and we will check and correct it, and note when a correction was made where it materially affects a comparison.

Our editorial policy and correction log explains the source order, current 31-day clinic review schedule and the changes we record publicly.
