Included without an affiliate relationship
ClinicScout has not found a Dr Fox publisher affiliate programme. It remains in our comparisons because a useful clinic comparison should include credible non-paying alternatives.
Dr Fox is a combined online doctor and pharmacy service. Online consultations and prescribing are provided by Index Medical Ltd, while dispensing is handled by Dr Fox Pharmacy, owned by The Park Road Pharmacy Ltd. It uses a one-off order model with a separate consultation or prescription fee and a standard delivery charge. This review checks official ownership, regulation, fees and delivery information. We have not placed an order.
Service model
A customer completes an online consultation that is reviewed by a UK doctor. If a prescription is appropriate, it is sent electronically to Dr Fox Pharmacy for dispensing. The provider says its doctors can offer follow-up advice and may contact a customer’s GP where consent or prescribing guidance requires it.
The model is not subscription-led. Each consultation or prescription has a fee scaled by order value, and delivery is charged separately. That makes the final total relatively easy to reconstruct, although medicine prices and pack sizes still need to be compared like for like.
Registration and ownership
Dr Fox Pharmacy is owned by The Park Road Pharmacy Ltd and publishes GPhC premises registration 1124326. Its about page says the pharmacy was inspected in May 2024 and met all standards. It names Nudrat Khan as Superintendent Pharmacist, GPhC registration 2030911.
Index Medical Ltd, company number 06797903, is responsible for the website, consultations and prescribing. It publishes CQC registration and a Good rating from its last inspection. The separate prescribing and dispensing entities are clearly explained on the provider’s site.
Fees and billing
Dr Fox publishes a consultation or prescription fee of £1 to £4, depending on order value. Delivery is listed separately. There is no required monthly subscription in the service model we checked. Treatment and pack prices still vary, so the comparison should use the full basket total rather than the consultation fee alone.
Delivery
UK delivery is published at £2.90 per consultation or prescription using Royal Mail Tracked 24. The provider asks customers to allow one to three working days after collection by Royal Mail and says most orders are dispatched the same or next working day.
What we could not verify by inspection
We have not tested its consultation, dispatch timing, packaging, customer support or follow-up process. We also have not independently audited the customer-review score displayed by the provider, so it is not used in our comparison or verdict.
Our view
Dr Fox is useful as a benchmark because its ownership, regulation and fee structure are unusually explicit and it does not currently pay ClinicScout a commission. Its separate consultation and delivery charges mean the lowest medicine price is not necessarily the lowest final order total, but the one-off model is clear and does not depend on recurring billing.
