What we checked

  • Ownership: part of the Voy group, shown in site footer
  • Registration number displayed, format not confirmed against the GPhC premises register
  • Published per-pill pricing for ED treatments
  • Public ASA ruling record (2025, Menwell Ltd t/a Manual)
  • Current promotional pricing at time of check (16 July 2026)

Services and fees

Manual runs a free-consultation, recurring subscription model, described on its own site as “cancel anytime.” At the time we checked, the hair loss pages showed a “up to 40% off” promotion rather than a clear base price; ED pricing was shown per-pill, from £1.67 for sildenafil and £2.57 for tadalafil.

Ownership

Manual is part of the Voy group, shown in its site footer. It isn’t a standalone independent company, which is worth knowing since Manual’s branding doesn’t make that relationship obvious on its main pages.

Registration

A registration number is displayed on Manual’s site, described as a “GPhC Registration.” Its format looks more consistent with an individual pharmacist registration than a pharmacy premises registration, and we were not able to confirm exactly which register entry it corresponds to on the day we checked. We’re reporting this honestly rather than displaying an unverified badge: check the GPhC register directly if pharmacy registration verification matters to your decision.

A relevant public record

In 2025, the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a ruling against Menwell Ltd, trading as Manual, over a paid Google advertisement for oral minoxidil that named the product and price (“Buy Oral Minoxidil – £14/Month”). The ASA’s finding was that this amounted to advertising a prescription-only medicine to the public, which UK medicines advertising rules do not allow. We’re including this because it’s public record and directly relevant to evaluating a prescription-medicine provider, not to single Manual out unfairly; UK medicines advertising rules apply to every clinic in this market, and enforcement has increased across the sector since.

Cancellation and subscription terms

We have not independently tested Manual’s cancellation process. Check current terms directly on their site before subscribing.

Verdict and alternatives

Manual’s per-tablet ED pricing is competitive with other services we’ve checked, but its hair loss pricing wasn’t clear enough on the pages we reviewed to give an exact comparable figure, and its registration display needs your own double-check if that matters to you. See our Numan vs Manual vs Sons comparison, or the full hair loss clinic comparison for alternatives with clearer published pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Manual the same company as Voy?

Manual is part of the Voy group; it isn't a fully independent company, though this isn't obvious from Manual's own branding.

Has Manual had any regulatory issues?

In 2025 the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a ruling against Menwell Ltd, trading as Manual, over a paid advertisement that named a prescription-only medicine and its price, which breached UK medicines advertising rules. This is public record, included for balance.

How much does Manual cost for hair loss treatment?

Manual's hair loss pages showed a percentage-off promotion rather than a clear base price on the day we checked. Confirm current pricing directly on their site.
